Homer Carroll is the Director of the Closing Department at Charles H. Greenthal Management Corp. He was formerly with Brill & Meisel, where he assisted purchasers and sellers in cooperative and condominium transactions and coordinated closings for numerous buildings as transfer agent. Currently he directs a department that oversees closings for over 100 buildings managed by the Greenthal Company, Earlier in his career, Carroll served as Director of Cooperative Conversions for M. J. Raynes Incorporated, and was also formerly associated with H.L. Michaels, Inc., and The Whitehall Group.

A resident of Manhattan, he is a graduate of Vassar College. Greenthal's Closing Department is a service department that prides itself in providing professional, courteous and prompt assistance to Board members, shareholders/owners, brokers, lending institutions, and attorneys to effectuate all types of transactions: sales, subleases/ leases, refinancing, and inter-family transfers. There are currently six transfer agents in the department, and each is assigned a group of Greenthal-managed buildings to handle on a day-to-day basis. In addition, there is an assistant to assist in the processing of board packages and documents.

The Closing Department is also a mirror to the Management Department in that it deals directly with the Board of Directors/Managers in the collection of building fees (i.e., sublet fees, flip taxes, move-in/move-out fees, etc,) The Department also is in constant contact with Management when there are questions or problems regarding a sale or sublet, or for advice regarding procedures, or in scheduling meetings for personal interviews with purchase and sublet applicants. Interaction with Management also includes the sharing of information concerning Board meetings, changes of Board members/officers, changes in fees, and decisions made by the Board that affect the department's operations.
